Creating strong female leaders who will lift up the next generation.
Welcome to the Connective Coalition
All the work that happens here is done with the purpose of being bolder, more confident, and happier at work. Everything is conceived and delivered through the lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion. This is a community, and a place where we help each other to become better versions of ourselves through support and mentorship.
It’s all in the name.
“Connective” ties in my physician background and embodies connective tissue: the stuff that holds us together, supports us, and makes everything move smoothly. It was also inspired by my favorite quote.
“You can’t connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backward.” -Steve Jobs
“Coalition” represents the community that we are creating together. This is a platform that advocates for women in the workplace. We are fighting to get paid more than cents on the average dude’s dollar, to take time off to care for our mental and physical health (yes, that means truly unplugged vacations + sick leave), and to balance our interests outside of work.
Our Values
-
Community
This work is bigger than you and me. We all have a role in connecting to, and learning from, one another. When you rise, you bring the ladder down for the person behind you. Mentorship builds strength and support, creating a cycle of empowerment.
-
Advocacy
Women, BIPOC, people with disabilities, and neurodiversities, and LGBTQ+ folx need to be leading conversations on what the world looks like moving forward. Lifting these voices is a priority. It’s past time for a seat at the table, we want the whole damn table.
-
Growth
We believe in science and the power of positive thinking. Brain research shows: If you think you can’t, you won’t. This is a place where you will be challenged to move outside of your comfort zone. Achieving your passion isn’t easy, but it’s worth it.
Burned out but unsure of your next career move?
“New Job! THANK YOU!”
This morning on my way to work, I was thinking about how different I feel this year, and how working with you made that possible. I did not think I was capable of such a big turnaround in perspective. This time last year, I had so many negative thoughts about my worth and skill set in the workplace. Fast forward this year - when I walked into that interview room, I was confident, well-spoken, and got right to the point about what I bring to the table. I crushed it. So, the first interview I was invited to after taking your course, I GOT THE JOB. I have you to thank for helping me realize my potential AND effectively communicating that potential to the world. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all you do.
